Description
- CH05SR0716
- Bedding layer below context 666
- Soft greyish brown soil with yellow and white inclusions just over bedrock - bedding layer for slabs.
- More investigation probably necessary to establish a better date for the construction of the pavement -- this layer does, however, seem to extend beneath most of the slabs preserved in this area
- Red slip ware
Interpretation
-
- Bedding filling for slabs. We removed one slab and found two small pieces of pottery- one of them was a piece of red slip ware .
