  • Roundish (d ca. 50 cm) patch of pink-ashy burnt soil; very loose. Depth: 7-10 cm; located in the center of the central part of the church, over the fill of a round cut below

    • Hearth -- appears to be the remains of a short-term fire

    • Note, however, the presence of black and white ash and some burnt soil along the SW side of the large cut in the center of the courtyard -- is this parallel related to the use of these features?
