  • CH06SR0921
  • Compact brown surface above bedrock and vertical layer in center of cut 0900, room 38
  • Layer of compact brown soil just above the bedrock in the eastern most area of cut 909 (at the bottom of cut 900) and a vertical ridge of soil along the base of wall 521. The soil itself, because there was not much of it, contained only a little bit of material - metal, ceramic and bone.

Interpretation

    • This appears to be a first fill layer above the bedrock cut in cut 909. Like 910, it is interesting that the bedrock is covered by brown soil and not clay.
