Linked Contexts

  • Context: CH05SR_666
    • Pavement of the floor of room/courtyard by huge slabs;one big slab in the center of room framed by 3 narrower slabs; stone seems to be local limestone, dressed only on upper side but with cuts for prybars on lower side (at least one one block that we lifted); pavement as a whole has undergone much settling, with some pavers higher than others, and has also been partially robbed; stones are ca. 15-20cm thick; pavement continues under wall 692 into the courtyard, though most are missing
  • Context: CH05SR_689
    • A pit in bedrock ; 60-70 cm in diameter, 30 cm in deep; round shaped. Half of the pit is hidden under the wall of excavation trench. This is the northernmost of the two pits between 607 and the NW section wall.
  • Context: CH05SR_691
    • A pit/cut in bedrock; 60 cm in diameter, 20 cm deep.Only 1/3 of this pit was excavated. The rest is partly under the NW section of our excavation trench on the NW side of wall 607; it seems also to be partly covered by stones either from wall 607 or from another wall running at right angles to the NW
