Interpretation

    • A hole used for hiding items of value- Probably originally blocked with a stone however robbed or emptied and now full of loose soil.
      • SW
    • To clarify the previous: this is the fill, probably collected by accumulation over time, of a hiding place in the wall; the hiding place seems to have been left empty after destruction, allowing the fill to collect in the empty space left in the face of the wall [9/27/05]
