  • CH05SR0507
  • Fill of the pit in courtyard ( NW side )
  • Stone collapse / fill of pit 1,8-2,0 m in diameter; soft brown soil between the stones with inclusions of small stones, shells, many roots. In NW side of collapse there were fragments ( necks ) of 3 amphorae ( V - VII A.D.).Finds : huge animal bones , few pieces of iron slag. No special finds. A piece of modern glass bottle was founded between the stones in upper level of collapse.
  • In common our work consisted of moving the stones, ground,gathering the material.

Interpretation

    • Fill of pit or cistern was made to level the surface. May be connected with modern trench (?).
