Description
- CH06SR0668
- Compact grayish brown layer of pit 601
- Layer of compact greyish soil at the bottom of pit 601 as it was left in the 2005 season.
- This layer is very much in doubt because it was both dumped upon and trampled for the first three weeks of excavation this summer. Although spot heights confirmed that we were anywhere from 4-8 cm into this layer when we began excavating
Interpretation
-
- Fill layer of pit 601 that seems to have domestic function for the medieval/Byzantine house above.
