Description

  • CH06SR0818
  • Brown layer of compact burnt clay in SE section of Stenopos
  • Compact, red or light-brown soil, clayish, includes traces of burning a few pieces of charcoal, ash. Several finds (vessel collapse, bronze pin) mark this layer. Has a sloping down from S to E part, height difference: ca. 20 cm.
  • It was decided to separate the context when in S part of the trench it had already been excavated. In the N part it covered the bedrock and had very weak features.[that is, the soil involved was loose and tenuous]
  • Vessel frag-s.
