Description
- CH06SR0819
- Thin brown layer above bedrock, SE part of 38
- Layer of brown soil just above the erroded clay surface of the bedrock in cut 728 (S part of room 38). The soil was very damp, as it is near the water table, and had only a small amount of debris in it, though that debris was mostly "special." The soil had a rather strong, putrid odor when removed.
- Small piece of sculpted bone representing an eros, found in Sample #577

Interpretation
-
- This layer appears to be a beaten soil layer just above the erroded bedrock. This might have been the usage level of this area for the drain that is contiguous with it.

-
- Sample 577 yielded special find number 3704, the incised bone amorino, and several small pieces of bronze (too small for analysis), a fish scale, and two small pieces of unworked animal bone.
