- CH06SR0858
- Sandy light tan soil in SE area 3 of courtyard
- Small patch of sandy, light tan soil extending rectangular, .68m x .38m; described in ATR NB as "a thin layer of pebbly, friable tan soil with some plaster content along the SE trench wall - it seems to sit on top of the ash [509], though in fact it may have sat on top of [the same layer below 509].
- May in fact cover 509, in which case covered by PA02 layer in courtyard, plus erosion.
Interpretation
-
- Either a patch of soil to be associated with metal - working activity, or some sort of construction fill/packing related to the lastest wall in the courtyard (removed 2002)
