• Definition Fill of Pit in corner of walls 265 and 692, in north courtyard Area 1
• Description The soil was very compact, crumbly and brown with very little bone and small to medium pieces of ceramics. The cut was discovered while cleaning for photo of Area 2 and some of the context was covered by a hard layer of what appeared to be eroded bedrock and other parts were covered by conserved 'wall', which in my (and Adam's) opinion is [modern] fill and not a wall. The sides were steep but the pit was shallow and with a flat bottom surface.
• Observations Context in color and vaguely in composition (?) looked similar to 0830. Unsure of relationship to 0770, but [due to proximity and shape] it may be associated with the cut 0771. This context is covered by either 0703 or 0759.
