    • Compact dark graysh brown soil that covers the majority of the west wing of room 31. It also exists in the SE part of the room (the portion adjacent to the previously excavated area at the SE end of the E wing). There is a strip of gravely surface (SR416) that runs parallel to the staircase that seems to be a different layer, although it is at more or less the same level as this layer
  • Context: CH05SR_367
    • Beaten earth surface that extends over the entire room (see also 2004 record for same context). Soil primarily composed of clay with widespread inclusions of small pieces of charcoal and little white stones (calcined?), mixed with bones and pottery.
