  • Spindle Whorl
  • Flat-nose cone shaped clay spindle whorl. Hole through center is approximately 0.9cm in diameter. Orange clay. Some nicking and chipping on lower base and upper lip.

    • Layer under collapse, possibly roof tiles and carbon inclusions from roof beams. Ashy consistency. Some large pieces of carbonized wood (one taken as SF2128). Intact quern (circular, central hole, slightly concave surface). Piles of tile at south corner area. This is the area from which bulk of tile was removed. Sample of seagrass taken. Large lump of clay and iron object (sf 2151) removed from area where seagrass was taken.
