• Definition tile and ash layer under collapse in room 32
• Description Layer under collapse, possibly roof tiles and carbon inclusions from roof beams. Ashy consistency. Some large pieces of carbonized wood (one taken as SF2128). Intact quern (circular, central hole, slightly concave surface). Piles of tile at south corner area. This is the area from which bulk of tile was removed. Sample of seagrass taken. Large lump of clay and iron object (sf 2151) removed from area where seagrass was taken.
• Observations pile of tiles may be an intact tile collapse. Looks like wall might be real, but still not positive. Took 10cm off entire floor, gray-ashy soil continues. Took 10-15cm off - new surface first uncovered in southern portion of unit - a highly compact, clayey layer. Articulated vessel (context 356) uncovered in southern portion of unit within 341. a large number of nails found in west-central area. Inclusions of seaweed in western area. Small areas of clay inclusions as neew surface approached. Large ovoid stone in east corner of unit - appears to be sitting on SR354. area of iron object concentration atop and mixed with clay - with seaweek inclusions. Floor left at SR354.
