Description

  • copper hooks w/iron attachment
  • Two copper hooks -- closed loop at one end (from which width taken), open at the opposite. No signs of breakage. A curved cylinder of iron runs through each closed loop, both are broken off, but partially oxidized in place. Possibly part of a copper (bronze) lamp holder with an iron top ring? Join between the two iron fragments in the loops

    • Yellow loose silty soil forming matrix for large stones in room 36. Composition is very loose with voids throughout. Considerably more tile than other layers. Several architectural fragments with plaster - including pieces of arch - recovered from this layer near doorway.
