  • CH04SR0373
  • Yellow loose soft silty with large stones in room 36
  • Yellow loose silty soil forming matrix for large stones in room 36. Composition is very loose with voids throughout. Considerably more tile than other layers. Several architectural fragments with plaster - including pieces of arch - recovered from this layer near doorway.
  • Extremely loose and full of voids - doesn't appear to be "intact"; some buckets of tile estimated in count, although there was definitely considerably more tile in this context than in others. Possibly same as SR346. Architectural fragments with plaster recovered from this layer.

Interpretation

    • Area of disturbance. Doesn't look like collapse from other rooms.

    • Possibly collapse from second story.

    • Although this was originally thought to be disturbed in the modern period, it now seems that it may have been disturbed soon after the destruction of the block, perhaps during salvage operations
