- corroded, green corrosion product both sides; encrustation around edges; omega/ rho monogram; evidence of rim both faces; reverse detail not discernible but raised elements suggest will be revealed when cleaned; date range 11th - 14 th cents.
- Rho monogram type. According to Anokhin coin of Romanus III (1028-1034)
- Monogram of Romanus (Ρ Ω].
- Cross on steps with pellets on both fields.

- Mottled gray/dark gray ashy fine silt loam; the section for metallurgical samples was 6.8M X 4.2M. Basically from wall 49 south to tomb 3 and east to walls 31/32 (sketch on back). Small stones with medium concentration of cutural material (ceramics, tile…); a couple of small patches of 7.5YR 3/1 very dark gray ash; several stoppers from courtyard and extension, apparently made from tile recovered
