- Latest surface of courtyard
- Mottled gray/dark gray ashy fine silt loam; the section for metallurgical samples was 6.8M X 4.2M. Basically from wall 49 south to tomb 3 and east to walls 31/32 (sketch on back). Small stones with medium concentration of cutural material (ceramics, tileā¦); a couple of small patches of 7.5YR 3/1 very dark gray ash; several stoppers from courtyard and extension, apparently made from tile recovered
- Sectioned the courtyard. Metallurgical sample #172 was moved 10 cm towards sample #171 because it was not possible to sample at this point because there was a large rock deeply embedded in the soil. Sample #162 was alos moved 10 cm towards Sample #163 because a rock obstructed the sampling area. Both points were reshot with the TDS in the afternoon before samples were taken. No preliminary date for ceramics from Ana.
