- Heavily corroded iron strip ca 0.5 cm constant width ca 0.15 - 0.2 cm thick. Each end appears to have been bent through 90 degrees to form opposing elements of ca 1 cm length, the sides of one converging to a point. The other end is obscured by corrosion and encrusted stone. All heavily corroded. Staple?

- Loose dark brown soil with small stones. The extent was approximately 1.3 M (NW-SE) X 1.2 M (NE-SW). Context has several smithing hearths recovered and there was a lense of black ashy soil (not more than 3-4 cm in depth) of the same consistency of the dark brown soil.
