    • Small compact gray layer, clayey composition, extending into west profile. Dimensions are approximately 70 cm (N-S) X 55 cm (E-W) and 18 cm in depth. Layer is situated on top of bedrock, just S of context 576 and doesn’t appear to extend into the profile.
  • Context: CH05SR_590
    • Circular cut approximately 1.5 M X 1.5 M, it only extends to approximately 25 cm in depth before it reaches bedrock. The edges are steeply sloped and the bottom surface is a 'relatively' (compared to bedrock in rest of courtyard) level bedrock.
  • Context: CH05SR_594
    • Dark grayish compact brown soil (loam) with green inclusions that covers most of the southern courtyard and courtyard extension.
