- CH05SR0578
- Compact grayish brown clayey soil in W courtyard
- Small compact gray layer, clayey composition, extending into west profile. Dimensions are approximately 70 cm (N-S) X 55 cm (E-W) and 18 cm in depth. Layer is situated on top of bedrock, just S of context 576 and doesn’t appear to extend into the profile.
- Only 1 fragment from IX-XI century and 6 fragments from earlier contexts.
Interpretation

- An early fill, perhaps one of the earliest left in the courtyard
