- About 1.5m down.Slightly more compact, greasier grayish green soil containing ceramics and small inclusions
Interpretation
-
- Possibly material deposited during the use of this soak-away pit or small cistern (prior to the construction of complex 2); ceramic material contained no fragments of local 12-14th c. amphorae (only 9th-11th), several fragments of GWW II but no later glazed pottery
