  • CH04SR0426
  • Layer of tile collapse in NW area of courtyard 1
  • Tile collapse with poorly articulated amphorae (bagged seperately) and other ceramics. Located in NW part of the unit between NW section profile and wall (SR437).
  • Not real sure where the tile is coming from. Georeferencing photo taken and plan drawn (though mostly for the practice). Courtyard 1 in this area was eventually renamed to room 37.

Interpretation

    • Tile collapse
    • Tile collapse on NW side of large, late wall and perhaps to be associated with that wall and the surface next to it (although, if the wall is in fact much later, it may be an original 13th c. collapse cut by the later intrusion -- but seems less likely, since only present on one side of the wall)
