Interpretation

    • Filling of cut used as hearth feature. Bottom revealed two faces of hearth faces, one partial circle on a South -East, North-West orientation; the second better preserved had a circular back and was 20 cm wide by 30 cm long. Fearture was filled with a possible hearth bottom, which was sampled for Chris Salter. Appears to be single filling episode. Upon further articulation of the bedrock, a circular cut was discerned, probably associated with the features use as a hearth. Fill appears to be a single filling episode.
