  • Ash in N corner in room 33 Room 33 - ash in N corner
  • Fine gray ash, approximately 1x 0.30 m concentration in North corner of Room 33. Somewhat greasy surface; located in N. corner of bedrock cut in room 33. about 40 x 30 cm 2 cm deep.
  • Thin layer of ash. Material mixed with that of 640, remarked as seeming homogenous. May or may not cover 647. Some excavation disturbance confused relationship.

Interpretation

    • Dump of ash during 519 filling episode. Thin deposit of ash, as part of dump of discrete material. Remains of early hearth, in conjunction, with layer 644 or patch of ashy fill from the very beginning of fill activity that created 519.
