  • Layer of yellow clay in SE part of room 38
  • Layer of thick, yellow clay just above the bedrock in the bottom of cut 728. The layer was found around the drain and in a small depression just contiguous with it. There was very little debris here, save for a few pieces of ceramic and bone.

Interpretation

    • This layer appears to be erroded bedrock-style clay just above the bedrock. The layer is found also beneath the large paving stones but it is unclear if this is a natural occurance or clay placed there for the construction of the drain.
