Description
- CH06SR0827
- Compact brown soil with charcoal and lime inclusions in NE part of room 38
- Layer of compact brown soil with charcoal and lime inclusions along the E and N walls (257 and 394, respectively) in the N part of the room (cut 900). The material is rich in debris, especially pottery sherds, sea shells and bone. There are some bits of metal but not a great many nails or iron lumps.
- The only doubts about this layer revolve round its relationship to the other layers in this side of the room (cut 900). Although it appeared that it might, 827 did not extend out of the NE part of the room - there are very different areas of soil as one moves W through the positive area.

Interpretation
-
- This layer appears to be another trash-layer meant to fill the cut in the bedrock in the N part of room 38 (cut 900).
