- No description of soil in context sheet, though apparently similar to the soil above
- Potentially contaminated with material from cleaning walls, but the majority of artifacts originate in the very bottom of the pit or between cracks in bedrock. [6/27/12: There was confusion about this layer in 2004; it was entered as a layer in the bedrock cuts for pithoi in room 35, but examination of the context sheet, find location, and ceramic results confirms that it was at the bottom of the pit in room 37 instead]
