  • CH04SR0336
  • Uppermost layer of collapse in room 28
  • Medium to large stones in a matrix of brown soil covering south east two thirds of room 28, [just over floor surface]; partially excavated in 2002 as PA [find number]. Depth varies from 10 to 20 cm, deeper to northeast. Initially thought to be over floor; later determined to be over another layer of destruction or dumping.
  • no clear division from upper layer of collapse in adjoining room and street; exposed for 2 years

Interpretation

    • Collapsed top layer made up of large-medium stones soil matrix and contents corresponds with many other areas of collapse in this block.
      • SW
    • Collapse from destruction or abandonment of the block, later disturbed by modern activity
      • ATR
