Description
- CH04SR0340
- Compacted gray green ashy layer covering most of room 28 sloping sw-ne
- Compact grey-green layer sloping down to the NE. Very varied elevations. Large carbon inclusions.
- Layer was found in SW end of trench, steep slope running NE and covering most of trench. Some compaction although still a fill or collapse. Not full of tile or large inclusions like other collapse layers in rooms 32 or 29; possibly disturbance or different roof construction. -- NB revisions as of 8 July 2005: discussion over course of last season as to whether infant grave cut this layer or the layer below; eventually determined that although cut not originally noticed, almost certainly cut through one or both of the burnt layers (340 and 352)
