  • CH04SR0414
  • Black ashy layer in room 36
  • Dark black soil with several pieces of carbonized wood, burned bone, burned ceramics, burned tile (some appearing to be insitu), burned plaster, and burned stones.
  • Samples 6, 7, 8, and 9 taken. Samples 5, 6, and 7 taken as other finds. 2 pieces of carbonized wood removed by conservators and shot in with TDS as other finds. Soil is extremely dark in some places. Steve Miller lifted piece of carbonized wood from area with apparently "intact" tile collapse sitting on black surface (sr414). Sample of seaweed taken from SR414.
