- Dark ashy iron rich patch in SW part of unexcavated area of room 32
- Ashy patch in West corner of unexcavated portion of room 32. Soil is a black to dark-grey fine silt-loam, with metal working debris included. Irregular circle with projecting line near 2004 section. Lies in floor in front of stairs to courtyard.
- Discrete area within context 460 isolated to investigate posssible hearth feature. The preliminary identification was the investigation of a possible hearth bottom, identified by Chris Salter. Upon articulation, no interfaces or structure could be identified, and the unit should be amalgamated with context 460.
Interpretation
