- CH05SR0576
- Circular ashy patch in W part of excavated area of courtyard
- Dark grayish brown ashy loam, of which the dimensions are circular and approximately 1 M (N-S) X 95 cm (E-W) and 3 cm in depth. Filled small upper part of a larger cut of two adjacent contexts (577 and 578) and a lower surface (550).
- Top layer of a darker black soil feature, fill? Over half of the datable ceramics, 8 sherds, are from XII-XIX centuries.
Interpretation

- The upper of two fills filling the cut of 588, possibly related to metalworking activities.
