- CH05SR0593
- Tile fill in bottom layer of pit in N courtyard
- Dark brown soil with a concentration of tile, and comparatively little else in the way of artifacts. Dimensions [at definition] are approximately the same as context 562, except that context 593 extends a little to the east and south and it is approximately 12-14 cm in depth, covering bedrock.
- Preliminary dates have one fragment of amphorae from XIII-XIV centuries and only five other datable fragments (all earlier). Tiles that were dated also spanned V-XIII centuries. Only four fragments of tile and one fragment of amphorae from XII-XIV centuries, maybe [possibly] due to intrusion, because context 562 covers 593 and is more confidently dated to IX-XI centuries.
