Description
- CH06SR0886
- Dark brown soil parallel and adjacent to wall 296 area 3, courtyard
- Loose dark brown soil with an approximate extent of 3.1 M (NW-SE) X 20-30 cm (NE-SW) and no more than 5-10 cm in depth. It becomes less distinct and more shallow as we worked towards section 2. - Unclear if this is a fill in a cut that its 754, or a somewhat different soil in a depression at the edge of the courtyard; photos, hovever, suggest fill of cut.
- Potentially a wall trench, lots of tile, but seemingly shallow with a more compact, more artifact-layden level below. This cuts the ashy gray layer [0882] associated with the wall course (hearth?).
- Ceramiks (aphome) suggest 12 - 13th
Interpretation

- Possibly a wall trench, but if so it doesn’t appear to extend to the base of the wall. - Seems very likely to be related to wall construction, especially because both wall tiles in area appear to be cut at same edge.
